The Zouchouri Mosque<\/strong> and the surrounding building complex<\/strong> \u2013 consisting of the courtyard, perimeter buildings, and the former Turkish-Cypriot market \u2013 constitute one of the most important ancient monuments of Larnaca<\/strong>.<\/p>

The project involves the construction of new paved areas<\/strong>, the creation of green spaces, rest areas, and a space for small events<\/strong>, accessibility facilities for people with disabilities (PWDs)<\/strong>, the maintenance and restoration of the interior facades of the buildings<\/strong>, the restoration and upgrading of the guesthouse<\/strong>, and the restoration of the ground-floor building for use as a management and information office<\/strong>.<\/p>

The aim of the project is the functional and aesthetic improvement of the site<\/strong>, highlighting the historic and traditional character of the area<\/strong>, and establishing a functional connection with the surrounding areas of Larnaca city center<\/strong>.<\/p>

Expected Benefits \/ Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>

The revitalization and upgrading of this area<\/strong>, which had shown signs of decay, significant deterioration of the built environment, and changes in its demographic character, is expected to highlight its historic and traditional character<\/strong>, attracting both local residents and foreign visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
