As an information and networking tool, the platform seeks both to map the artistic community and, by informing on existing options and events, to lead to the greatest possible participation of residents and visitors. Empowering artistic activity, maximising people’s participation and diffusing art throughout the city are fundamental objectives of Larnaka 2030. It is for this reason that the creation of Λarnakarts is a high priority project for us.

Λarnakarts will have two main parts, a static one where information about the city’s artists, venues and cultural institutions will be available, and a dynamic part that will list all the information about current artistic events. The easy access to information in real time is expected to benefit artistic activity and enhance the participation of Larnaka’s residents and visitors alike.

The creation of Λarnakarts requires the mapping of the entire cultural landscape of the city – artists, institutions and cultural spaces- in order to cover all existing activities. To make this possible, Larnaka 2030 is issuing an open call for participation to all artists and cultural entities of Larnaka. We therefore invite all to fill in an online form and be part of Λarnakarts. By making this simple and easy move – entering the data takes only a few minutes – they automatically become a valuable part of this exciting effort to activate the artistic community of our city.

The call is addressed to the following individuals, organisations and bodies:

Independent artists and professionals in the artistic field: musicians, visual artists, architects, sound designers, designers, actors, directors, writers, cultural managers and more.

Institutions: museums, festivals, institutions focusing on artistic and cultural activities, independent corporations, schools, conservatories, Biennale and more.

Venues (those rented or available for events): galleries, theatres, music venues, archaeological sites, warehouses and more.

Events (those organised on a regular basis): festivals, feasts, Biennale and more.

Λarnakarts registration form: https://forms.gle/DkxLk19gNfgJ5hwP8

Deadline: 31 December 2023

Information: 24632500, info@larnaka2030.eu

Larnaka 2030, the organisation running the city’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2030, launches Λarnakarts, a dynamic platform for recording and activating the city’s cultural landscape.
