\n<\/u><\/strong>Voices Across Nations: 117 Artworks Selected for the 4th<\/sup> Larnaca Biennale
\n<\/strong>15 October \u2013 28 November<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a global open call that drew a record-breaking 526 applications, 117 artworks from individual artists and artists groups from 43 different countries<\/strong> have been selected to participate in Larnaca Biennale 2025 \u2014 the largest number in the event’s history.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The curator, Sana L\u00f3pez Abell\u00e1n, along with the five-member Judges Committee carefully reviewed submissions to select artists whose proposals best aligned with this edition\u2019s theme: \u2018Along Lines and Traces.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI was pleased to see a wide variety of applicants, ranging from very young artists\u2014some still in art school\u2014to established veterans in the field<\/strong>,\u201d says the curator in a statement. \u201cThis multitude of perspectives can be incredibly enriching when it comes to interpreting the theme, as each participant contributes from their unique point of view.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

With the Biennale launching on October 15, artists now enter the creation phase, developing their works in a variety of media from<\/strong> immersive installations and audio works to hand<\/strong>\u2011sculpted clay figures and contemporary silk prints.<\/strong> Over the course of six and a half weeks, Larnaca will come alive with exhibitions, installations, and artistic interventions across the city and province.<\/p>\n

While the artworks will be unveiled during the official opening ceremony, the team is now thrilled to share the creatives that will bring their artistic mastery to Larnaca later this year.<\/p>\n

About Larnaca Biennale:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Larnaca Biennale is the only Arts Biennale in Cyprus and is organized in the city and province of Larnaca every two years by the registered non-profit Cultural Association ‘Artion’. The event has been in effect since 2018, lasts a month and a half and aims to promote and highlight the arts and culture both locally and internationally. As the largest international artistic organization in Cyprus, it attracts a significant number of visitors (over 60,000) with the participation of creators and collaborators from Cyprus and abroad.<\/p>\n
