Renovation and Upgrade of the Larnaka Municipal Garden, Inner Courtyards, and Street-side Planting

The Larnaka Municipal Garden is located in the city’s urban center. Within the garden are the Municipal Library, the Natural History Museum, and the Municipal Theatre. The garden is bounded by Grigori Afxentiou Avenue and Leonidas Kioupis and Louki D. Pieridi Streets.

The project involved the redevelopment of the Municipal Garden, including tree planting to enhance and expand green areas, pedestrian pathways, public squares, playgrounds, lighting, urban furniture, accessibility for people with disabilities, as well as the construction of a café and sanitary facilities.

The aim of the project was the aesthetic and environmental upgrading of the city center and the improvement of residents’ quality of life. With the redevelopment of the Municipal Garden, the residents of Larnaca and visitors can enjoy their time in a modern green oasis located in one of the most central points of the city.

The project was completed in February 2019 with a total eligible budget of €1 million.
