Construction of a New Municipal Melathron Elderly Home
Brief Description / Objective:
The project concerns the construction of a new, modern building for hosting elderly individuals. The aim of the project is to enhance and improve the Municipality’s social infrastructure by providing upgraded and specialized care services for senior citizens.
Expected Benefits / Outcomes:
The new Elderly Care Home will be implemented in accordance with all provisions of the applicable legislation, utilizing modern technologies and high-quality construction materials. The modern complex will be distinguished by its contemporary, functional design and will have the capacity to accommodate more elderly individuals compared to the existing building, providing residents with all necessary comforts.
Furthermore, the ultimate goal of the project is to transform the Larnaca Elderly Care Home into a vibrant meeting place for older adults, fostering favorable conditions for social interaction and creative engagement. The program also includes initiatives to address social issues, contributing to the relief of families struggling to provide the necessary care for their loved ones. At the same time, new jobs will be created to meet the growing needs.
The project is co-funded by the EU within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Programme “THALIA 2021-2027”.
